Hi!
My name is Łukasz Śliwiński.
Basic information
- I am a finishing PhD student at University of Edinburgh, School of Mathematics, looking to defend my thesis soon.
- My focus of my PhD is algorithmic pricing in multi-agent, competitive markets. Specifically, I research interaction between adaptive agents (i.e. vendors) in competitive market settings. While game theory assures that for a single auction, the optimal strategies dictate competitive equilibria with fierce price competition, the same does not hold in repeated settings, where the optimal strategies are more complex and can lead to sustained supra-competitive prices.
- Throughout my PhD, I have been supervised by Dr David Siska and Prof. Lukasz Szpruch.
I am currently working on:
- Defending my PhD thesis.
Every so often, I contribute an article to my blog, however this part of my website is under restructuring.
In the meantime, I encourage to visit my friend Liam's blog nowheredifferentiable.com in which he explains various mathematical concepts from areas such as Analysis, PDEs and Stochastic Analysis.
